The Summer Night Lights Program has proved to be really effective in providing safe places for youth and providing opportunities for them while reducing crime in the surrounding neighborhoods. The City should consider this when cutting park hours and programs. We have seen over and over again that there are more effective ways to reduce crime than by just adding police.
